FAQ

How long does it take to paint a pet portrait?

This is a hard question to answer. Each portrait comes with it’s own set of difficulties, which means some can take longer to draw and paint than others. Dry times can also change from painting to painting. I paint with oil paints and they take a while to dry. As a rule I usually ask my clients to expect one month from the time I begin work on the portrait until the time it’s ready to be delivered. Keep in mind that some may take longer.

Do you only paint animals?

No, I love painting many different subjects. If you would like to commission me to paint something other than a pet just contact me and we can discuss the possibilities.

Can you ship my painting to me?

Absolutly, but this will include a shipping cost.

Will my painting come framed?

I no longer offer framing. If you order a charcoal drawing it will come matted but not framed.

Do you have a waiting list?

Yes. I can only accept so many commissions in a year, so I usually do have a waiting list. You can contact me to find out how long the wait time is and to secure your spot on my list.

Do you paint people?

No, I do not accept commissions for human portraits at this time.
