I'm EmmaLee.
I live in Houston, Texas with my husband and two young daughters. Creating fine art is a passion for me. When I’m sitting behind my easel time seems to stop. I can paint or draw for hours and it feels like minutes. I feel incredably thankful that my love of painting can bring people joy.
How I Became a Pet Portrait Artist
One of my favorite subjects to paint is animals. One day I decided to paint a dog as a gift for a relative. Once that gift was received I began getting many requests for more. It was overwhelming and wonderful. I feel extremely thankful and blessed to be able to capture a pet’s personality on canvas, and give their owners a piece of art that will keep the memory alive forever. I pay very close attention to the characteristics that make each animal unique. I fall so much in love with each of these pets and even though I haven’t met them personally, I miss them as soon as they’re off my easel. The moment of handing a client their painting is bittersweet for me.
